How far has the journey come — and where is it going?
What's Been Accomplished

What Still Needs Work

Data Infrastructure: High-quality, culturally-appropriate Vietnamese training data is limited. Building this is crucial for next-generation Vietnamese AI.

Looking Forward: 2027 And Beyond
Near-term predictions:
- Vietnamese foundation model (LLM trained primarily on Vietnamese data) will launch
- Consumer AI tools will become mobile-first, voice-capable
- Government AI applications will scale significantly
Medium-term predictions:
- Vietnam will be recognized internationally as a Southeast Asian AI hub
- Vietnamese AI companies will have meaningful presence in 2–3 international markets
- AI integration into Vietnamese education system will begin in earnest
